My #FavouriteThing today was seeing an old friend of mine when I went to pick up a trumpet case. It was brief, but really nice to see him. And he was very generous in passing along an old trumpet case to house my daughter’s case-less trumpet.
Later in the day, we had a conversation about the possibility of me doing some teaching (voice) in his school (he’s a high school music teacher), and I find the possibilities pretty exciting.
I also had to take Kid #1 to the doctor to get her jammed finger checked. (Definitely sprained. Possibly broken. Still have to get an X-Ray.) But what I enjoyed was having some time with her while we did that. She’s dancing so much this year, time with her has become really, extra precious.
What was your favourite thing today?
My favourite thing was texting for a bit with a friend of mine. She and I had some catching up to do. We were talking about plans for her to visit me sometime in the next year or so (because we live in different provinces). Even just talking about it as a somewhat far away, not yet chosen, date puts a smile on my face.
Another favourite thing was another friend sharing some exciting news that is happening in her life. It’s nice to see good things happen to good people 🙂
And…although this seems really minor, I was quite happy to come home to find that my father in law had stopped by and installed a new light in our laundry room. My husband probably could have done it, but being as his dad is an electrician, he came over, despite his allergies to our cat, and did it for us.
