My #FavouriteThing today was a visit from an old friend. I’ve known this friend forever, and he came to spend the evening with me on his way to Whistler. We sat and talked all evening. And I was reminded why I love this man, who is like family to me, so much.
I also enjoyed a long walk with my neighbour and dear friend today. We talked and both managed to articulate some things that had been swirling around in our heads, undefined. We’re good for one another.
What was your favourite thing today?
My favourite thing was visiting a friend. She invited us over for supper, which is always nice. We had a great time visiting with each other and laughing at our kids (7, 6, and 4) who were carrying quite the conversation of their own. Their excitement over the end of the school year and their new classes for next year was tangible.
Another favourite thing was the sudden burst of energy I got right around 12a.m. Yep. That normally isn’t a good thing. Normally energy at midnight = insomnia; however, this night it just meant I had energy, I was in a good mood, I got somethings done that I’d been feeling too lazy to do earlier, and then, a couple of hours later I went to bed. At first I had trouble getting into that deep sleep, but I didn’t sweat it. Somehow I knew that I was going off to dreamland soon, and my morning would be great-and I was right. Sweet.
